EmerGent project Final Review

On 7th September, in Dortmund (Germany), the EmerGent project will have its Final Review. The project, of which IES is part of the consortium, studied the use of social media during emergencies, and the identification and integration of valuable information from social media.


Common Information Space Event in Brussels

Three EU-funded projects (SECTOR, EPISECC and SecInCoRe) shared their points of view about several aspects of the Common Information Space. One of the main panels was focussed on three fundamental aspects of an information sharing space:
a "Pan-European inventory", which collects information about past disasters and provides useful lesson learnt; taxonomies, a crucial concept for a complete understanding of the message between different organisations and different languages; standardisation, another pillar in the field of information sharing, as well as several other domains


IES at the PSCE Conference in Munich

On 3 May, PSCE and the EPISECC project will also organise a workshop on standardization in the premises of the German Red Cross in Munich. The workshop will be focused on the importance for EU projects to put more efforts on standardisation activities in order to bring innovation adapted to the fast-changing market.


I_HeERO Project meeting in Lisbon

Tomorrow, 31 March, the Activity 4 Project Meeting of the I_HeERO project will be held in Lisbon, Portugal. The project (Infrastructure Harmonised eCall European Pilot) aims at the development of the infrastructure needed for the implementation of the eCall service. The Activity 4, "Data Integration", deals with the integration of the data exchanged between the different actors during an eCall.


RAWFIE project Technical Meeting in Athens

Among the topics, the integration of new Testbeds and UxVs (Unmanned Vehicles), towards the first operational prototype of the platform in June.


CEN Workshop: Terminologies in crisis and disaster management

The EPISECC, SECTOR and SecInCoRe projects put together their efforts and knowledge in this Workshop to define common terminologies to be used in disaster management, aiming at improving the information sharing in Europe


Joint Meeting on Common Information Space

The four projects focussed on interoperability, EPISECC, SECTOR, REDIRNET and SecInCore, will organise a joint meeting on Common Information Space and information sharing for disaster management.


The Final Workshop of the EmerGent project has been successful

During the final workshop, the advisories have tried the EmerGent platform with the aims to provide a last feedback before the upcoming final review.


First ALPDIRIS Workshop

During the workshop the partners will discuss the next steps and the practical ways of collaboration between the industrial partners and the representatives of end-users, in order to create a technological solution that meets the practitioners' needs.
