Taking the forthcoming Easter as an excuse for a gift to our followers, we are proud to offer a brand new and free service for the production of reports on burnt areas in years 2010 and 2011 for large portions of Latium, Calabria and Sicily.
The service is available at http://incendi.jixel.eu/ and it is based on our well-known JIXEL platform.
With just a few clicks, you are able to select the year and region of interest and produce a synthetic report with maps and tables on the burnt areas identified by the MYME algorithm applied on Landstat satellite imagery.
For the time being, the report is just a demonstration of the potentialities of MYME and JIXEL, that could be further exploited for producing formal reports on burnt areas.
