The PSCE Conference 2016 has succesfully ended. Dr. Uberto Delprato attended the Conference both as IES Solutions’ CEO and as member of the EPISECC project.

On 17 May a workshop on Ethical, Legal, Social Issues (ELSI) in Networked Information Exchange for PPDR has been held, called “Mobile, Networked, Collaborative PPDR: How to Make IT Good?“. The aim of this workshop was to explore how it might be possible to address ethical, legal, and social challenges and opportunities through creative design of IT for networked PPDR. Amongst the speakers there was Irini Vasiliu from DG JUST (Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers), which made a speech about “Novelties of the General Data Protection Regulation”.

The most significant interventions of the Conference were the one from Graham Wilmott, Head of Unit at DG HOME (Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs), a joined session of 4 European projects (SECINCORE, EPISECC, SECTOR e REDIRNET) on the concept of a Common Information Space and a session dedicated to the opportunities of using Copernicus and Galileo systems within the crisis management.
